The host and founder, “Lover of Romance” also you can refer to me as Renee, started it originally in 2010, and now I am returning after having to take a break. Blogging has always had my heart, and I think it always will.
The history
The Past + The Future
Addicted to Romance was originally founded in 2010. It originally began with the drive to read books and look for those to connect with whom had similar passions for both reading and especially reading romance. Addicted to Romance was born once the realization came to be that book blogging was a REAL thing.
The blog did take a break for a bit but I am now back! I had switched to Instagram but it wasn’t enough. It didn’t quite fulfill in the same way that writing and blogging has done over the years nor does the community match to the blogging community.

Hello….I am Renee (Lover of Romance)
Hello. I am Renee (but I am also known as Bonnie) I am 39 years old and I work in customer service and have for years. I love working with people and being able to resolve issues and connect with others. I am also a Latter Day Saint. I was born and raised in Utah and while I have lived in many other locales, I love living near the rocky mountains. I spend all my spare time reading. I don’t really have much of a social life, and prefer to invest my time in reading and being a content creator. I do love doing some traveling here and there but mostly I focus my energy on reading, studying my faith and spending time with my family and exploring nature.
My biggest dream in life? I hope one day that I can be like all these heroines and find a wonderful man to love and cherish and be the partner he deserves!

Romance or Comedy?
My father got me hooked into reading and into romance originally. While it started with books like Harry Potter and Nancy Drew….what got me into romance was my dad giving me a book to read called ” Return to Love by Anita Stansfield” and from there I discovered the Avon True Romance series which were packed with so many amazing elements. And then I found authors like Johanna Lindsey, Lisa Kleypas, Lorraine Heath and others that won my heart and fostered my love for the genre.
