First Impressions

Anything For Love is a book that I read some time ago so lets cross those fingers and hope that I can remember everything I would like to about this one here. Anything for Love is the type of romance that will bring comfort and ease to the reader that is just looking for a book to cozy up with. Its a story that will endear the reader and have you laughing one moment and then crying in the next. Melissa Foster is a true queen and while this book and this series isn’t going to be as flawless as her Whiskey’s, it will still be endearing with the same setting and bring that level of romantic swoons you can expect from this author.

What I Loved

I think what drew me so quickly into this story was the premise in how they have their cute meet which was beyond hilarious with the sex dolls. Our heroine is a writer for romance novels and she uses sex dolls for sex positioning for her intimate scenes and our hero is assisting her with renovating and repairs. He is the perfect blue collar hero. Their banter is on point from the beginning. We also dig deeper into a grumpy + sunshine dynamic. Our hero has his reasons for being a grump though. He has had to deal with some difficult loss in his life that I resonated with. Seeing how that hurt becomes heal with the bubbly positive Charlotte is true perfection. We also get introduced into the family dynamics and it had me intrigued to read more from this series.

What I Struggled With

I honestly don’t remember the issues that I had with this one. Just that it didn’t quite hit the same as many of her Whiskeys which I think comes from her growth and maturity and polish in her writing.

Narration

Perfection!!! These two are such a good pair for each other and you just know anything they narrate a book together it will be a true keeper of a read.
