First Impressions
Making You Mine was the fifth book in the series, and while I had some high hopes for this one, I also didn’t let them get too high for Knox and Aubrey’s story. I knew it would have aspects that might not work for me, and while there is nothing in this story that is too problematic, it also didn’t have the heart that the previous books contained. It’s just not my favorite style of setup for a romance. And I was hoping to get more winter-themed vibes than what was received. It was an interesting dynamic, it just didn’t quite pack the punch that I have come to expect from this author.
“Keep loving me like this, and I just might let you stay forever.”
He nuzzled against her neck and whispered, “As you Wish, ‘ princess”

What I Loved
Making You Mine, while it wasn’t my favorite book of the series, had its own flavor of sweetness that was endearing in its own ways. I really enjoyed the family elements that we see from both Knox and Aubrey. We also see a hero that is so devoted and has fallen so hard for Aubrey that he is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her. He does do much of the heavy lifting within the relationship. Once Knox and Aubrey get together with the story, is where I started to really connect with the characters and the story being built. The movie theme was interesting, and it provided a charming setting for this story. I did enjoy seeing the heroine FINALLY FALL lol. She was so stubborn that when she finally caved to the love that has always been there for it, it was such a delight, and I found it so entertaining. The romance was endearing and will work for many readers, but there are aspects that will either work for some or will cause some challenges. It will vary depending on the reader.
What I Struggled With
There were a few things that I didn’t necessarily love about this story. First off, the fling feel to the story. While you sense the friendship between these two, I wasn’t a fan of the casual relationship that seemed to be so sex focused. It felt like it was just about sex for them, and then suddenly they want to be in a relationship. We didn’t really see that gradual development that felt natural, and it felt too rushed in the story. And the heroine was way too focused on men, causing drama even though her attitude is what caused the most drama in the story, and seemed to be way too self-absorbed, and Knox honestly deserved better lol. I just wasn’t a fan of how she demeaned men so much throughout the story.
Narration
SO AMAZINGLY WELL DONE!!! This narrator team has always done a superb job. I have always appreciated how they have handled the narrations of books they do together.
Overall Thoughts
Making You Mine was a charming story that showcases the beauty of letting love find you and having the courage to embrace it fully. If you are a fan of the series, I recommend it.

In USA Today Bestseller MAKING YOU MINE…
Knox Bentley never liked the pomp and circumstance that came with being wealthy. He’d distanced himself from his pretentious family and their fortune as a young adult and found his own path to success. But even with the world at his fingertips, he realizes something is missing, and after a long stay overseas, he finally knows exactly what it is. His no-strings-attached hookups with Aubrey Stewart, an exquisite and stubbornly independent blonde, are no longer enough for him. They connect on every level, but Aubrey is a fierce businesswoman with a new movie channel on the horizon and no time for much else. She is the deal he can’t close, the precious jewel even his billions can’t buy. Now that he’s back in the States, he’s determined to show her that what they have goes beyond the bedroom and finally make her his.
