Weekly Wrap Up

Sunday Post: Week #: 31

Weekly Recap is a weekly recap post that was originally themed after “Sunday Post” which you can find from Caffeinated Reviewer and you can find out more about it on her weekly posts. But the gist of it is where we share our weekly updates, what we are reading and what we are looking forward to for the upcoming week.

Weekly News

So this past week was SUPER rough. The aftereffects of heat stroke were so bad this week, might be some of the worst I have ever experienced. I am still sick, but it’s mostly just the sniffles but still not at full health quite yet. I did take a couple of sick days from work to get some rest for it. But this is why I hate summer haha I normally don’t get it this bad for this long, but it still makes me feel miserable if I get heat stroke in the summer. So some days were better than others. So didn’t really get a ton of reading done but the books that I did get read were pretty wonderful this week. However, I was able to work on a big project for the blog….I got most of my review archive created, just finishing up the tropes/character types organization, and then it will be live. I wanted to get this set up before I started to put too many older reviews on the site. But so far I have reviews you can find through Title, Author, Series, and Genre.

Books Read

Twisted Road by Christine Feehan
Surrender to a Scoundrel by Julianne MacLean

Even though it was way less than what I normally read,……these were all fun to read. Northern Lights I watched as an adaptation and then read the book (which was so long lol and took me two days to read that one as it’s almost 700 pages) and might be her most boring book I have ever read lol. Twisted Road by Christine Feehan was a delight. I LOVED that she put so much romance focus in this one. Wild Crazy Hearts by Melissa Foster was so endearing and way better than I expected it to be. I normally don’t love fling romances, but this had great heart. And then I wrapped up my weekend with Surrender to a Scoundrel by Julianna MacLean. While I read this a long time ago, I wanted to get to this one since I had been reading the whole series (which half I hadn’t read before) and it was just as good as when I first read it (and my review for this one should be posted later today).

These are the current reads that I am reading. Fallen Gods, I am doing in audio since Hoopla had it. And then I just started Rouge by Greer Rivers. I am planning on reading most of the day and ending it with the new Passionflix adaptation of Kristen Proby’s “Come Away With Me”. I am excited for it even if the casting isn’t my favorite.

My Weekly TBR

For the week I have a good variety of books to pick up and most of these I can do in audio as well which is a plus for me. Some of these are on my monthly TBR and a couple are my romanceopoly picks for the week and then some that I am just working through the series with.

    1. Yeah heat stroke took a lot out of me this week that is for sure. I really enjoyed Twisted Road, so fun to see her getting back to romance again. And I am eager to get to Fallen Gods. Got the audio ready to go.
