But the gist of it is where we share our weekly updates, what we are reading and what we are looking forward to for the upcoming week.
Weekly News
This past week was pretty interesting. As I have started a new job recently I am still adjusting to it but it was a lot better this week. I didn’t get to read too many books except for a few rereads as I have been working on blog things and indulging into some Blue Bloods. But my binge of that is over so now I can get back to reading a bit more or at least that is my goal for the week. I have also started to incorporate older reviews. I will be starting on books I have read since I stopped my original blog and then I will start bringing over the posts and reviews I had from my original site. I also grabbed up a special edition from Bad Women Books. I just couldn’t resist when I saw this being shared on Instagram. I don’t buy them very often. Only with books I truly love.
Books Read
So what was I able to get to this week? I did a reread of If I Had You by Lynn Kurland, The Last Boyfriend by Nora Roberts and Machiavellian by Bella Di Corte. The Nora Roberts was charming and poignant. Great family dynamics and the atmosphere for the bed + breakfast implemented in the theme of the story was vivid and the ending was beyond satisfying. Then there is Machiavellian. This is a mafia romance. Bella Di Corte is a powerul author and isn’t read as much as she deserves to be (I will be completing the review for that one today) This features a fun dynamic though of marriage of convenience but also deep past connections to each other. And it was easily a five star read. So if you love a good dark romance….Highly recommend!

Current Reads
I am currently doing the audio for Archangel’s Enigma by Nalini Singh. This is part of my re readalong I am hosting on Instagram in celebration of the finale being released this summer. And Its utterly delightful so far. I am currently at 20%. Then I will be reading Enticing by Bella Matthews tonight. It will be good to get back to this author and this series. She is one of those authors that is comforting to read. And my next audio will be Beneath The Stars by A.L. Jackson. This is the finale in the series and its beyond refreshing to have a rock star romance with some suspense rolled in.

My Weekly TBR
This is my updated TBR for the week. I decided to put my romanceopoly reads on hold for now so I can get back into the rhythm of reading. I have some mafia lined up, a dark romance retelling of romeo + juliet, and some audios in my Audible library I haven’t gotten to with Trails of Love by Melissa Foster and Part Of Your World by Karen Witemeyer. And then will close my weekend with a Michelle Heard and a Julianne MacLean historical. (Yes I have read this one before but I never did a review for it and read it over a decade ago and its been so fun reconnecting with this author).

Yeah Blue Bloods is a keeper. Its my comfort show to rewatch when I am in a mood. Yeah the spin off is alright but its not the same as what Blue Bloods delivered. Hope you have a great week too Lisa!

Thank you so much! And yeah its a project for sure. The Guild Hunter books are a blast, it makes me sad its ending but every book is so strong and good so I get why she is ending it. Its much better to end a series strong than to risk it getting weak and not as good towards the end, it does happen with some authors.
